The University of Hertfordshire Sports Development team is looking to recruit a Lead Coach to head up one of the Junior Sports Programmes hosted at the Sports Village.
Mini Boots is a football-specific programme aimed at children between the ages of 4-8 years-old. Traditionally delivered as a 10-week course on a term-by-term basis, the aims of the course are to develop basic sporting skills, improve ABC’s and offer opportunities for social interaction for all the children attending.
Sessions are held on a Saturday morning between 9.00-10.00am and then 10.00-11.00am. The successful candidate will need to lead both of these sessions throughout the academic year, from the end of September to beginning of July.
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of a FA Level 1 (including up-to-date Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children certification), the FA Youth Award: Module 1, and a valid DBS check. Previous experience with working with children is desirable, although it is fundamental that the individual is enthusiastic, punctual, committed and possess strong communication and organisational skills.
Initially the post will be voluntary, but should a suitable candidate be found who also demonstrates the level of commitment required, the position may develop into a paid opportunity.
Group Exercise Coaches: Rates of Pay from £20 Per Hour
Our extensive health, fitness and wellbeing programme includes classes such as Yoga, Pilates, Fight Klub, Zumba, Aqua Aerobics, Group Cycle plus many more. The Sports Village prides itself on delivering high standards of customer experience and a variety of classes within clean, safe and effective group exercise spaces.
The role of the Group Exercise Coach exists to provide fun, safe daily coaching in classes as well as supporting and engaging in the general running of the Sports Village operation. You will be part of an energetic team, encouraged to contribute and proactively deliver sessions that members cannot wait to return to.

Swim Teachers (Casual & Regular Shifts): Level 1 (£17 per hour) and Level 2 (£20 per hour)
This role involves working in an excellent pool facility with a movable floor with small class numbers from non-swimmers to advanced levels after which our pupils have the skills to join an aquatic club. Previous teaching experience is desirable though not essential for this position along with exemplary customer care skills.
Candidates must be able to produce their qualification certificate and evidence of identity. A current CRB check would also be an advantage although we will take a new one at interview. The current lesson programme covers 4 evenings per week, some afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Sports Therapy Intern (voluntary): 4 Positions Available With Great Benefits
The University of Hertfordshire Athletic Union are providing an internship opportunity for four University of Hertfordshire current Sports Therapy students to work closely with the University’s performance sport teams, as well as work alongside BodyBalance Physiotherapy Clinic to help deliver the Athletic Union sports injury clinic once a week.
This is a great opportunity for Sports Therapy students to get hands on experience out in the field as well as in a in the clinic environment. The internship will also provide the chance for individuals to develop links with professional staff and clubs that may lead to future work.

Football Development Intern (voluntary)
The University of Hertfordshire are offering an exciting Football Development Internship role for at least two individuals to support, develop and co-ordinate either 11-a-side or small-sided football at the university. This role will introduce new players and teams into the Campus Football programme. The focus will be on growth of new players and expanding and developing the student official workforce, alongside ensuring all participants have a good quality football experience regardless of their ability, as the programme is open to any individual to get involved. The internship will be supported by the University’s Sports Development team, Hertfordshire County FA and work in partnership with BUCS.

Athletic Union Football Coaches: Head Coach and Assistant Coach Positions
Purpose of Job:
The University of Hertfordshire are looking to appoint Head and Assistant Coaches for the three Men’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd team programmes for the 2016/17 season. The student coaches will work in conjunction with our Head Coach Laird Budge to oversee coaching and team selection of their respective squads. Any individual who would like to coincide this whilst acting as sports therapist/physio for the teams is also welcome to apply.
